365 Days of an NBA Enthusiast

This is a blog dedicated to the (materialized) culture of the NBA. This can take the shape of anything; tweets, videos and pictures are all used to showcase the expansive cultural diffusion of the NBA and its 12 million+ active social media followers. 365 Days of an NBA Enthusiast is both a curation and commentary of events, people and things that keep fans around the world enamoured with the game of basketball.

None of the pictures, videos or tweets are my own unless explicitly expressed. All the commentary is my own.

Day 63: Reverse, reverse
Today the two most exciting things in the NBA are actually updates on two stories I’ve brought up before.
The first is that native son Omri Casspi is said to be returning to his homeland and play for Maccabi Tel Aviv, with fellow NBAer, and the only other Jewish player in the league, Jordan Farmar. This will be Casspi’s third tour with the Israeli squad and will be his third team in a matter of months after being traded to Sacramento from Cleveland.
The second piece of news is much more unexpected. Eddy Curry is said to be down to 300 pounds, after working out for the Heat in March sitting at 350 lbs. Money can’t buy you happiness but it can buy you a sweet personal trainer. And FAT shoutout to the fan who questioned why Curry wasn’t working with Grover in…wait for it…2004! I need to ask him/her where to invest my money.
